Mike Babcock drops by

Mike Babcock (coach of the Redwings ) stopped by and gave Derek an autographed picture of him and the Stanley Cup. We had four U of Michigan players (great guys ) visit Derek and brought a signed poster. They told more uplifting stories.
Zike Family…We are good friends with Sue-Ellen, Kevin and Zane Anderson. They housed our son Ian last year when he played for the Indiana Ice. We live in Ann Arbor and just want you to know that LOTS of people you’ve never met are thinking of you all and praying for Derek’s recovery. We are encouraged to hear about the progress thus far…everything is possible and we’re told that Derek is an exceptionally strong and courageous young man. Please know that you have an army of Ann Arborites supporting you and wanting to help. I know that our friends, Lisa and Steve Duddy have been in touch and are hoping to help out. Robin, I am a stay-at-home Mom and have tons of flexibility…if you have any questions or need some insight about the city or where to find something…let me know. Glad to see Mike Babcock visiting Derek. Our son has played against his 95 who is at Compuware and now with LC. He is always approachable and talks with the players from every team. I hope he brought some sunshine to Derek. People everywhere have Derek in their prayers. Keep getting better!
